Mary Trujillo Harper's Obituary
Mary Trujillo Harper passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 4, 2015. Mary was born on January 24, 1940 in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico. She moved to Salt Lake in 1955 and graduated from West High School. She worked for the Utah State Driver’s License Division, Health Department, and the Salt Palace Convention Center. Mary enjoyed watching wrestling, old western movies, and music by Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley. She is survived by her daughter, Maritina (Carlos) Trujillo-Franco; her granddaughters, Jovalee Lucero, Isabella Franco, and Alexandra Franco; and her great grandchildren, Josenia Lucero, Brigit Lucero, and Diego Vazquez. She is also survived by her sisters, Marie Albert, Grace Romero, Maxine Williams, Tina Marie (Steve) Foster, Rose (Kirby) Arrive; and brothers, Wilfred (Sandy) Trujillo and Alfred (Esther) Trujillo. She is preceded in death by her father, Jake Trujillo; mother, Opal Werrito; sisters, Katie Yazhe and Lavonne Trujillo; and brother, Larry Trujillo. Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at the First Presbyterian Church, 12 C Street, Salt Lake City. Services will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue T Street, Salt Lake City. The family would like to express their appreciation for the wonderful care provided to Mary by the staff of Avalon Valley Rehabilitation Center and Bristol Hospice Utah.
