Mary Susan (Ward) Lawrence, 54, passed away on June 18, 2018 after suffering a brain aneurysm over a year ago. She was born December 1, 1963 to Kendall R. and Mary Elizabeth Ward at St. Benedicts Hospital in Ogden, Utah. She was the third child of five siblings. She grew up in Layton and raised her family in Roy. Susan married Allen Jay Lawrence, and they had two children together, Justin and Amber. Family meant a lot to Susan, and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was very smart and excelled at anything she tried. She enjoyed math and computers. She even was a good shot playing billiards. She worked as a school bus driver, but she mainly was a homemaker, raising her two children. She leaves behind her son: Justin (Jennifer) Lawrence; her grandchildren: Treyson (11), Shea Lynn (11), Toby (9), Aurora (8), and Jayllena (2); her sister: Sissy (Ward) Thornley; her brothers: Daniel Scott “Pete” (Cathy) Grimsley, William Joseph (Christy) Ward, and Evan James (Rebecca) Ward; her nieces: Thursday Thornley and Breean Thornley; her nephews: Nathan Ward, Scott Grimsley, Jaime Verhaal, Evan Ward, Joseph Ward, Joshua Ward, Rylee Ward; and additional family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary E. Ward; her daughter, Amber LeAnn Lawrence; her nephew, Derek Grimsley; and her ex-husband, Allen Lawrence. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Premier Funeral Services, 5335 S. 1950 W., Roy, UT 84067. The family extends a sincere thank you for all who has loved this dear woman taken from us too soon.
