Mary Lou "Penny" Lowe's Obituary
Mary Lou “Penny” Falconer Lowe passed away peacefully on Monday, July 9th, 2012. Penny was born in Portland, Oregon to Robert and Violet Falconer and moved to Boise, Idaho in high school. She met her sweetheart, Mel Lowe in Boise, Idaho where they both worked at the radio station KATN. They were married in 1965 and later had their marriage solemnized in the Logan, Utah Temple. Penny was a devoted wife and mother with a sweet and loving spirit. She and Mel had four children: Chad (Chris) Lowe, Rob (Holly) Lowe, Wendy (Tyler) Hofheins, and Josh Lowe. Penny loved her pets, music, books, movies and playing board games. She loved to go on long drives and to challenge her mind. Penny loved the ocean, particularly going home to the Oregon Coast. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and treasured her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Penny is survived by her husband, Mel Lowe; father, Robert Falconer; brother, Tom (Renae) Falconer; brother, Marty Muller; sister, Collette Kramer; brother, Mark (Kay) Falconer; brother, Mike Falconer; sister, Lisa Falconer; her children and eight grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 13th at 12:00 p.m. at the L.D.S. Mapleton 21st Ward building (White Church) 31 West Maple, Mapleton, Utah. A viewing will be held the day of the funeral from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Interment will be held immediately following the funeral at the Provo City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Penny Lowe Medical Expense Memorial Account at the American West Bank in Springville, Utah or mail donations to Mel Lowe, 1343 East Maple Street, Mapleton, Utah 84664.
