Mary Michelle Sandoval's Obituary
On June 16, 2024 at 6:16 AM, our beautiful, devoted, and loving Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend, Mary Michelle Sandoval slipped peacefully from this world and into the arms of her husband Gerry Sandoval and eldest son Shawn Wasescha. She was surrounded by the love of her sons and granddaughter in her final moments. Mom was born November 26, 1959 to Stan and Mary Kopesec in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended Granger High School and went on to work as a lab technician and skilled machinist. Mom was passionate about watching her Saints games, TV game shows, shopping online for thoughtful gifts to spoil her loved ones with and cherished the time she and Ger spent in Wendover together. Mom loved her family and was very proud of her children and grandchildren. Her grandchildren meant the world to her. Mom was a pillar of strength, bravery, and determination. She battled through and overcame multiple medical traumas throughout her lifetime. Mom, you are now free to spread your wings and fly. We will miss you and always carry you with us in our hearts.
Michelle is preceded in death by her son, Shawn Wasescha, husband Gerry Sandoval, father Stan Kopesec, sister Anita, and her beloved dogs Bo and Buddy. She is survived by her loving mother Mary Kopesec, devoted sons Jesse and Houston Wasescha, step-sons Austin (Brynn) and Andrew (Jena) Sandoval, grandchildren Kylie (Preston), Finley, Felix, Jordyn, Jack, Shawn, Sister Sally and countless treasured extended family members.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date and details will be shared to those who wish to attend.
