Mary Ellen Tooman's Obituary
Mary Ellen Tooman, aged 58, passed away at home peacefully on March 13, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and compassion.She had A terminal illness.Born on October 25, 1966, in Bountiful, Utah, Mary was the beloved daughter of Clyde Clayton Tooman and Rita Rose Ferrenberg. Educated at the Arizona College of Nursing in Tempe, Mary graduated and began her journey as a caring and dedicated nurse.Throughout her career, Mary had the privilege of working at several reputable institutions. Her skills as a Triage Nurse were put to use at the Arizona State Hospital. She later joined Twin Peaks Hospital as a Registered Nurse, where her warmth and professionalism shone through. Finally, Mary lent her compassionate care to patients at Grifols Bio Mat. Her loving care for her patient,s will not be forgotten.Mary's dedication to her profession was only surpassed by her love for animals. She had a special fondness for dogs, with her favorites being Tank, a Bulldog, Kona, a mix of Pitbull and Labrador, and Hazel, her loyal hound dog. However, it was her passion for horses that truly captured her heart. Sir Dominic and her stunning brown and white paint quarter horse brought her immeasurable joy. From a young age, Mary formed a bond with animals, even sleeping in the barn with her lamb named Buttons. She gave her treats such as licorice and Oreos. Mary's kind and gentle nature touched the lives of both humans and animals alike.As a devoted believer, Mary was A member of Olafs Catholic Church, attending elementary school at Saint Olafs and high school at Judge Memorial.. She found solace and strength in her faith, which guided her throughout her life.Her mother Rita Rose Tooman,father Clyde Clayton Tooman(ret Navy) and brother Timmothy Gerrad Tooman Awaither her in heaven.Mary is survived by her cherished daughter, Bayliegh Hatch,grand daughter and grandson,brothers, John Tooman, Paul Tooman and Roger Tooman, along with sisters Carol Tooman and Sue Tooman, mourn her loss but find comfort in the memories shared together.Patrick Carroll will forever hold Mary's spirit in his heart as her loving partner.In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the charitable organization that meant so much to Mary, non-profit animal shelters. Your support will ensure that Mary's dedication to the welfare of animals continues to make a difference.Mary Ellen Tooman will forever be remembered for her unwavering commitment to caring for others, her boundless love for animals, and her kind and giving spirit.
