Mary Lena Ackerson was born May 23, 1943 in Kimball, Nebraska to Gerald Von Ackerson and Mary Lena Adsit. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family February 27th, 2021.
She was born in Kimball, Nebraska while living in Albin, WY. Growing up, she moved from Albin to Wellington, CO, Laramie, WY, Devils Slide, UT, Henefer, UT and finally settled in Morgan UT. It was in Morgan where she met the love of her life, Kenneth Vernon Worden. They were married on March 30th, 1963 and divorced in November of 1997. They remained friends and were close until the death of Kenneth on August 1st, 2015.
Mary worked for ZCMI and JC Penney while raising three sons, Mark, Kenneth and Von. Outside of work she enjoyed serving as a Den Mother to her three sons and their Scout troops and sharing in the love her family had for camping and hunting. She had many passions including crocheting, a fondness for trying many recipes, was an outstanding cook and was a champion pistol shooter in the Morgan Utah Search & Rescue. Later in life her biggest passion became the love and joy she had for her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Mark Vernon (wife Stacy), Kenneth Lee (wife Bea) and Von Leroy. She also has three grandsons, three granddaughters, two great grandsons and two great granddaughters.
She is survived by brothers Kenneth, Tim, Dean and Roger and was preceded in death by both parents and her brother Tommy.

Family viewing, public viewing and funeral services will be conducted Friday March 5th, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 2335 N. 4350 W. Plain City, Utah 84404
Interment in the South Morgan cemetery located at 335 So. State St. Morgan, Utah 84050.
Family only viewing: 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM (20 people maximum in room at one time)
Public viewing: 10:45 AM to 11:45 AM (20 people maximum in room at one time)
Funeral service: Noon to 1 PM – DUE TO COVID AND A 20 PERSON LIMIT, THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE CLOSED TO ONLY THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN INVITED TO THE SERVICE.
