Matthew Chad Fisher's Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew Chad Fisher, on December 3, 2024, at the age of 46, after a courageous battle with Melanoma cancer.
Born in Provo, Utah on November 29, 1978, to Paul and Rose Ann Fisher, Matt was known for his boundless creativity, his hands-on approach to life, and his remarkable DIY spirit. Whether it was building, fixing, or creating, Matt had a unique talent for seeing possibilities in everyday materials and transforming them into something useful or beautiful. From creating artwork, building furniture, honey-do tasks or designing and constructing a cabin, Matt was always happiest when he had a project in front of him.
Matt had a great love for the Savior and served in the Salvador, Brazil mission. He attended Dixie College, and later graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Matt worked for FIS as a Front End Developer/Software Engineer.
He met his eternal companion at a singles ward where a blossoming friendship shortly formed into more. Matt and Marni were married in the Salt Lake Temple on January 2, 2003. Matt enjoyed spending time with their three children. He loved being together with his family and was involved with their kids as much as possible. He supported his wife in her love for Disneyland and for his kids with their love of sports and activities. Matt had a great desire to travel. He enjoyed experiencing the beauty of the world, including Hawaii, Canada, and Italy.
Survived by his wife Marni, three children, Emma, Miley and Maryn, his parents, Paul and Rose Ann, sister Joyce (Dave), sister-in-law Taya, and beloved dog, Rocky, along with loving in-laws, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his brother, Greg, and Wiley and Fisher grandparents.
