Matt was a great uncle, when he died i was super sad. i loved how kind and funny he was to me and my family. when grandma Sherri watched us, he would always know and come over. Also when he went to my house he would read me stories, or do some thing really special. i loved him with so much of my heart, and he always found a way to love everything. when he past i could not stop crying. he was a great uncle and his song "butterfly" helps me be closer to him every single day.
I didn't get to spend a lot of time with Matt, but when we first moved into the neighborhood he participated with us in a church music activity and I was impressed not only by his talent, but by his wonderfully kind and gentle nature. He had a beautiful soul. It was heartbreaking to learn about his struggles with mental and physical health. My heart goes out to all who knew and loved him.
Whenever I was at my darkest, he gave me light to guide my paths with. He would always call me his Amazonian warrior, and that’s what I’ll always be. Thank you Matt. I will miss you
When I met Matt for the first time he noticed I liked sour candies and the next day he brought me a whole bag of warhead candy. I’m so glad I had time to get to know him.
I remember visiting with Matt at a care center with his Mom Sherri close by.
I know of Matt’s struggles and was surprised at how kind and funny he was. We talked about the arts and music. What an impressive young man.
I know you are at peace now Matt. Much love to you and your sweet mom and family ❤️
