We were so fortunate to know Max and we felt bad we were unable to attend the services. We got to know Max when he married my beloved Aunt Lena. He was always so warm and welcoming when we visited then or attended their famous Christmas parties. We shall always be grateful for the joy and happiness Max brought into Aunt Lena's life. We so enjoyed receiving his booklets and we have saved everyone of them. They will always be a written reminder of such a wonderful person. Marlene & Merlin Stephenson

My heart goes out to your family at the loss of such a wonderful man. It is hard to lose your father. Remember him proudly. Teach your children about his life and his love for all children. Mr. Hatch (Max) was a wonderful teacher to me. He was a rare friend that always knew my name when we met after I ended my school life. He always had a hug and a few gladdening words for me. He was my favorite teacher. John, we went to school together at Jordan.
