Maxine Jensen's Obituary
Maxine Jensen passed away peacefully on September 26, 2016, at the age of 81, due to heart failure. She was born July 20, 1935 in Chester, Idaho to Delbert A. Blanchard and Crystal Hansen. Maxine had a very happy childhood growing up in Chester. Her father had a small mercantile store where she loved to work. She always enjoyed playing with her sisters, friends and cousins and could often be found swimming in the beautiful Fall River. Maxine also enjoyed living in Utah and left beautiful flower gardens and life-long friends where ever she lived. She found the love of her life when she married Russell C. Jensen of Midvale, Utah. Together they shared 41 years of love and companionship. Maxine cherished and loved her family, each one was her favorite. She was very talented at needlework and produced many beautiful works of fabric art. Maxine was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and over the years held many callings. She enjoyed the church and dearly loved the gospel.
Maxine was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Theron and Zelma. She is survived by her husband, and by her children Randy L Dayton (Chris), Bradley D Dayton, Denise Wiley (Robert) and Mark D Ashbocker (Deanne). She is also survived by Russell's children Todd Jensen (Kim), Laura Workman (Dean) and Kim Rioux (Dave), and by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A special tribute goes to the CNA's and staff at Pacifica Assisted Living center. They cared for Maxine with incredible love and compassion. Also a special thanks to the people at Comfort Worx Hospice for their excellent care and love.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 4th, at 12 pm at the LDS Church located at 5605 S. Vine Street, Murray, Utah. A visitation will be provided from 11:00 AM to 11:45. Internment: The Midvale Cemetery.
