Maylynn King West's Obituary
Maylynn (King) West passed away April 6, 2024 in Ogden, Utah. She was born in Redding, California on May 2, 1954. She was raised in Vernal, Utah and Montpelier, Idaho. She spent her summers and holidays in Montpelier with her family and beloved grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Duncan (Scottie) King. She attended Idaho State University and Utah School of Massage Therapy. May was a gifted healer and gave her all to healing others. She knew no strangers and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. May was effervescent, filled with spirit, ceaseless energy and a desire to know everything about life, love and happiness. She did not stay in the shadows of other people’s opinions, demands or curated holes. She traveled every distance and fought her place at the table. Her motto might have been, “A world without rules and controls, without borders or boundaries. A world where anything is possible”. Maylynn led a full life with many highs and lows. She loved and trusted Jesus. No matter what challenge she faced, she would say, “I am so grateful”. We know, because of Jesus’s promise, she is spending eternity with him. Maylynn will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Maylynn is survived by her daughter Mistilyn Rosenbaum, son Lee Miller, two granddaughters Jordyn and Tomilyn, her sisters Laurie King Schanzenbach and Tamara King, brother Duncan (Scott) L. King, III, and several nephews and nieces. She is proceeded in death by her great grandfather, Dr. Harry H. King, great grandmother Anne King, grandmother Lois Essex, uncle Eddie Householder, aunt Sharon Alfred, grandfather Duncan (Scottie) L. King, Sr, grandmother MaryLinn King, father Duncan L. King, Jr., mother Carol A. King, and brother Johnny Boeggeman.
