Maynard Lee Grimsley “Buddy”
Our loving Husband, Father, & Grand Father lost his long battle with cancer Thursday morning May 5, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born June 7th, 1940 to Agatha Parham & Marion P. Grimsley. His sisters Helen, Shirley, Marian, & Kay. His brothers Melvin & Billy.
He was a strong man with an amazing spirit, he enjoyed many things in life including fishing, camping, barbecuing, and spending time with his family. He met the love of his life Deborah Hamshar in November 1982 they enjoyed 34 wonderful years of life together!
He is survived by his wife Deborah Grimsley and their children, grand children, and great grandchildren.
His sons: Michael Grimsley, Timothy Grimsley, Maynard Grimsley Jr. (Bud)
Son in Laws: Marco Villalobos, Daniel Rodriguez
His Daughters: Anita Remediz, Nichole Villalobos, Kimberly Grimsley, Nancy Diggs and Jenay Diggs.
Adopted daughters: Jerica & Tiffany
Daughter in Law: Lauren
Grand Children: Julian, Jordan, Alexus, Alissa, Brooklyn, Mackenzie, Gabriella, Baby Rodriguez,
Hailey, Joseph, Emiley, Natiley, Lena, Anthony, Oreanna, Lindsey, Olivia, Kaitlyn, Alisha,
Kristina, David, Jenessa, Crystal, Taylor, Jared, Steven, Jacob, James, Ashley, Courtney, Marlie, Madeline, Dakota, Karlee, Dallion, Gavin, Aidan, & Gage
Great Grandchildren: Nova, Monroe, Conner, Luke, Trinity, Kodi, Matheson, Jasper, & William
He is preceded in death by his Mother Agatha, Father Marion, Sisters Helen & Shirley, Brother Melvin. Sons Jeff Young, Richard Riessen, Steven Riessen, Grandson Micah Grimsley, Richard Riessen, and his Best Friend Darrold Dillion.
We would like to give a big Thank You to Good Shepherd Hospice Company for all of their compassion, help, care, and support, Thank You to Tosha for all your daily care, also Thank You to Alpha Homecare and Thank You to Utah Cancer Specialist Dr. Avizonis Radiation team for all your care. We would finally like to give a Big Thank You to Plum Creek Ward for all of your Help during this difficult time!
Memorial Services will be held 11:30 am, Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the LDS Church 1465 West Bristol Ridge Road, West Jordan, Utah. The Interment with military honors will be 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery 17111 s Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
