Meagan Wilda Buttner's Obituary
Meagan Wilda Buttner was born on a late summer day in Las Vegas; a day so hot, her father later said, that his car had sunken into the pavement at the hospital when he left to go home. Little did he know it was a sign, portending the fiery nature of his new daughter.
She grew to be the shadow of her big brother, their two blonde heads standing out in a crowd. A quiet child, she was a constant watcher, missing nothing. She spoke very little, unless outraged. She loved smaller children and animals. She had boundless energy.
That energy sometimes boiled over. She’d get bored and wander from sibling to sibling, spoiling for action. She loved to be on the run, she loved shopping. She loved taking care of people. She was a Grandma’s girl, sharing an intense bond with her Grandma Buttner. She was a giver.
Meagan’s love of children landed her first job in highschool at a daycare, and the children she cared for loved her enormously. She worked with children frequently throughout her life, and later with the elderly. She put her whole soul into her various jobs, and her employers (whether she worked as a nanny or doing bookkeeping) adored her.
Meagan was resourceful and intelligent. She could YouTube anything, like changing out a belt on her car. She became engrossed in her friendships and put that big heart of hers into helping the people she cared about. She was an Auntie and a Tante, and was forever bringing her nieces and nephews gifts and surprises. She had the biggest heart.
She joins her father, Michael James Buttner, who passed away in 2020, and is survived by her siblings; Lucas (Erin) Buttner, Harmony (Ryan) Nordgren, Arlena (Joshua) Harmon, and John Wesley (Caitlin) Brown. Also survived by her loving mothers: Cheryl (Shane) Hendrickson, and step-mother Carla Buttner.
She leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews; Harrison, Lily, Noah, Nalani, Henry, Abigail and Max. Also her grandparents Phil and Bonnie Buttner, her Uncle Mark Buttner and Auntie Jamie, and cousin John Buttner. All who knew her will miss her. Services private.
Your fight is over, our beloved, rest in peace.
