Melanee Moore-Smyrl's Obituary
Melanee Moore-Smyrl, 48, left us all too soon on February 22nd, 2020, surrounded by her family at home, after a courageous fight against a terrible disease.
Melanee was born in Canoga Park, CA as the youngest of four girls and lived in both Northern and Southern California until she moved to Utah with the Love of her Life, Don, in 2001. She worked in Customer Service in the home improvement, grocery, and ski industries and excelled at making sure total strangers had a smile on their face when she was done providing that service. Her infectious smile and Love for all who crossed her path endeared her to everyone she met, enabling her to establish true friendships with an amazing amount of people. Her unselfish attitude put those that she cared about above herself, because making people happy was her self-appointed mission in Life. Her Light shone on many and she will be missed by everyone who Loves her.
She was also a lover of animals, particularly her “fur babies”, “Best Friend” Puppee and “Wood Face” Woodee. She was famous for saying, “Bless you, Critter”, when an unfortunate animal was lying by the side of the road. She loved the outdoors, particularly camping, snowshoeing, hiking, and “preserving memories” by taking pictures of everything and anything. She was a hard worker, a Loving Mother, a respectful Daughter, and an incredible Wife.
She is survived by her husband, Don, her son, Dylan, her mother, Sandee, and father John, as well as her three sisters, Cheri, Teri, and Tiffany, her niece, Chey-Chey, and nephew, Sky-Man, and her step-brother, Austin, and step-mother, Tammy. She is also survived by those Friends she Loved as Family…You know who you are.
