1996 - 2016
We mourn the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, and friend Melanie Carruthers on Sunday July 10, 2016.
We loved her kindness. Her big blue eyes. Her hilarity. Her playfulness.
Melanie was in the Air Force Junior ROTC during high school. She had hopes of joining the police force when she was old enough. Melanie took culinary classes in high school and was an avid competitor in ProStart culinary competitions. She went on to hold responsible cooking positions at a number of area restaurants, including the State Capital.
Melanie is survived by her parents, Chris and Lynnette Carruthers, her sisters Lakin and Katie, and her brother Matthew.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Orem 6th Ward Chapel, 365 South 900 East, Orem, Utah with a visitation prior to services from 10:00 to 10:45 am. Interment at the Orem City Cemetery.
