I was one of Merle's Lemonade Ladies friends and i loved her dearly. She was so kind and sweet that she was always a joy to be around. She was a great cook and when it was her turn to provide food, it was always something special and delicious. We traveled in a car together to attend the Provo city temple open house. Riding down and back gave us time to have a good visit and share many things with each other. She was an inspiration to me how she kept going as long as she could and always wanted to stay involved. We will all miss her.

Merle was one of the most loving, Christ-like people I have ever known. She was my visiting teacher for twenty years and we shared many memories, hopes, fears, laughs, and testimonies. She was there for me in every peak and valley of my life and laughed and cried with me during those years. She loved her family and everyone. We grew old together and shared many interests. We both loved to read, travel, and share our love of the gospel. Merle's cooking and gardening talents were amazing and we loved going to Lemonade Ladies together. Merle was a woman with a huge heart and I will miss her!
