Merrill Reid Call's Obituary
Merrill Reid Call, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and disciple of Jesus Christ, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on November 2, 1944, Reid lived a life defined by integrity, humility, and steady faith. His membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints guided his choices, shaped his values, and anchored his desire to serve and uplift others.
Reid married the love of his life, Becky Anne, on February 26, 1966, beginning a 60‑year journey filled with love, partnership, and unwavering devotion. Together they raised four children who were the joy of his life: Brandee Smith (Scott), Jason Call, Melissa Larsen (Shane), and Nick Call (Jenna).
Reid is survived by his siblings: Arlan Call (Sherry), Phillip Call (Mary), Gwen Barlow (Chips), Beverly Davis (Jim), and Pamela Cook (Mike). He was also a proud grandfather of seven grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense happiness and pride.
A gifted craftsman, Reid had a passion for carpentry, creating work known for both its beauty and practicality. He found joy and peace in dirt bikes and outdoor adventures, always drawn to wind in his face, wide spaces, and the quiet rhythms of nature.
Those who knew Reid will remember his gentle spirit, dependable strength, and the way he lived his faith through everyday kindness. His legacy lives on in his family and in all who were blessed by his example.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church located at 1176 N 730 E, Pleasant Grove, Utah. A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the same location.
