I knew Mike through Tina. She and I worked together at Hill AFB. We were on a bowling league with Mike. What fun! Mike reminded me of Harry from Harry and the Hendersons. He truly was a gentle giant, and I was privileged to know him. May God comfort all with wonderful memories of good times with Mike.
Michael was a gentle giant with a heart of gold to go with it. He was always there for his family and friends but would help anyone in need. Family was the most important thing to him. The VA did such a great job in taking care of Michael. even up to the end. His family is so grateful for every member of the staff and the people he met and made friends with. Bless his wife, his children and his grandchildre in this somber time but we all are relief knowing he is up in paradice with him mom, granddaughters and people that have gone before him. He is no longer suffering and is whole again. Talking up a storm and drinking his coffee. George E. Wahlen staff have all been there with each of us and again appreciate their care, love and dignity Mike deserved. Miss you so much big guy and will alwas be in my heart and soul and am grateful you are up the there with so many people. Say hi to mom and give her a big kiss and hug from me.
