Michael Lamont Boucha's Obituary
Michael Lamont Boucha, beloved son, brother, husband, father & grandfather passed away on November, 19. 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Michael was born November 30, 1952 in Oakland, CA to Roberta "chick" & Alden "Mike" Boucha.
He was the oldest of child and the only son. He had a happy childhood with his two sisters Gail and Janet. He had great memories of family vacations & spending time with his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Michael had many friends in the Fremont Centerville Ward, with whom we attended seminary. He graduated from Washington High School in 1970.
Michael attended Rick's college in Rexburg, Id with his best friend Rick Avery. While at Rick's he met Debbie Rehner. Debbie waited for him while he went on his mission to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Michael & Debbie were married soon after his return on June 29, 1974 in the Oakland LDS Temple. Michael & Debbie both graduated from Brigham Young University. While they were students at BYU they had their first two sons, David & Bryan. Michael loved being a Dad & was often seen strolling his babies down the streets of Provo!
After graduation Michaels employment relocated the family around the country. Scott was born in Concord, CA. Mark, Jared and Sarah were born in Mesa, AZ.
Michael always wanted a brother, so he especially enjoyed having five sons. He considered it a "Miracle" when Sarah was born & she held a special place in his heart.
Michael spent his time working to support his family, serving in the church, and being involved in all of his children's activities including sports, band, scouts, and whatever they were doing.
Michael was an avid BYU Football fan, every fall he would say, " This is the year, they are going all the way." Michael's greatest joy has been his grandchildren. The last few years he was always making plans to get the family together. His thirteen grandchildren include Adhis, Maya, Brooklyn, Brody, Bryson, Max, Alex, Sophia, Alyssa, Braden, Luke, and Bentley.
He looked forward to meeting his grandson Zachary Mark in heaven. Michael will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the many caring doctors and nurses who cared for him. A special to thank you to Dr. Christopher Tietze at the university liver clinic. Funeral services will be held on Monday November 23, 2015 at the LDS Murray Liberty Ward 67 W Clay Park Dr Murray, UT. The viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 AM, the funeral following at 11:00 AM. Michael will be laid to rest at Elysian Burial Gardens.
