Michael Keith Cooley's Obituary
Michael Keith Cooley, age 77, passed away January 6, 2026 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on September 29, 1948, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Michael, known to many as Mike, is survived by his siblings Dennis Cooley, Gary Beard, Robert Beard, Marie Beard McComb, His children Katrina (Robert) Aamodt, Brandon (Margaret) Cooley, and Shasta. He is also survived by several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Beverly Beard (mother), Ernest Earl Beard (stepfather), and Ernest Keith Cooley (father), as well as his brother, William Beard.
Over the years, Mike worked for a boat company and later at a recycling plant. He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time in the mountains, rock hunting and searching for gold. He also found joy in working with wood, creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. In his quieter moments, Mike loved listening to Elvis Presley and watching classic Western movies, especially those starring John Wayne.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at 5380 West 5400 South, Kearns, Utah 84118. Michael will be remembered by those who knew him, and his memory will live on through his family and loved ones.
