Michael Eby's Obituary
A man known for his giant heart and unforgettable sense of humor, beautiful blue eyes and handsome smile; Our Grandfather, Father, Brother and Husband, Michael Eby, passed away in his home on the eve of August 14, 2014 surrounded by his loved ones.
Michael (“Mick”) Eby was born to Anita and Dexter Eby on June 28, 1934 in Salt Lake City. After completing high school, Mick served the Army for four years in Germany. When he returned he married his sweetheart and best friend, Rosanna Hustead; they remained inseparable for 56 years.
Mick achieved many accomplishments in his life. He was one of the founders of the Brighton Little League Football. He was a hard working man, owning EBY Transportation Company with his wife for several years. Mick had the knack to make everyone laugh in the room with his young at heart, witty sense of humor. He was a natural jokester and a classy man. He loved to dance and sing, especially Frank Sinatra. He was also active in many sports, but loved golf and snow skiing with the most passion, skiing till age 75, always with his lifelong friends.
Mick is survived by his loving wife, Rosanna Eby; five children, Debra (Bob) Fenner, Guy Eby, Brett (Taresa) Eby, Michelle (Mark) Forslund, and Lance (Peri) Eby; brother, Craig Eby; He has 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He cherished his family and friendships and will be deeply missed by all who knew him, most important his soul mate Rosanna. Come celebrate the beauty of life, of Micheal Eby as we know he would have celebrated, on Sunday, August 24, 2014 in Mick and Rosanna’s backyard: 7179 S. 2825 E. Cottonwood Heights from 3:00 till 6:00 pm.
