Michael “Rick” Eddington
1954 - 2021
Michael (Rick) Eddington passed away peacefully, November 15, 2021. After a courageous battle from Covid related complications.
Mike (Navajo) was born on March 18, 1954, in Tuba City, Arizona. Was adopted by Marshall & Irleen Ward Eddington. He grew up in Clearfield, Utah. Graduated from Clearfield High School, Received a Respiratory Therapist Degree & Certification from Weber State University. Then achieved a Masters Degree in Respiratory Therapy at the University Of Utah School Of Medicine.
Mike devoted his adult life to saving premature babies, in the NICU at the University Of Utah Hospital. Where he made lifelong friends, & saved countless lives.
Mike retired from the University of Utah Med Center after 35 years in 2019.
Mike is survived by his companion Terry Brimhall, of Murray, Utah. Sister Sandra Dixon, a niece, nephew, and Grand Nephew, Monica, LaTrail and James Dixon of Chino Hills, California. Many Cousins. Rest in peace Mike. All of us left here are going to feel the loss of your sweet spirit.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Irleen Eddington.
Mike loved to cook, was an accomplished classical pianist. A loving brother and uncle. He Loved anything Disney. Disney Land, Disney World, Disney movies and cruises. He loved to travel. And visit family. He also contributed to many Native American schools and charities.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all the nursing staff, respiratory, speech and physical therapists, at Intermountain Medical Center. KPC Promise Hospital, Salt Lake & Neuro-Restorative Life Care Center, Riverton Ut.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm, Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Willard Cemetery, 470 N Main Street, Willard Utah.
