Michael D. Luke
1956 - 2022
Our kind, beloved Michael Luke; husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle,
and member of many communities, passed away unexpectedly on December 15, 2022, at the age
of 66.
Mike was born in Price, Utah, on July 11, 1956, to Dick D. Luke and Marjorie M. Luke, who
preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy Johnson; son, Daniel Luke (Lacie),
daughter’s Shannon Cazier, Nicole Robinson (Heath), and Melissa Luke (Mike). Also by
Matthew Johnson (Angela), Stacy Crosland (Jonothan), Daniel Johnson, Jacob Johnson, and
Adam Johnson. Mike leaves the sister he adored, Margene Luke (Donald), and nieces. Mike’s
legacy continues with many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Mike will be missed by many who felt his warmth and sincerity. He was an avid lover of the
great outdoors, particularly the deserts and mountains of the American West. Mike found joy in
many things; architecture, cooking, traveling, astronomy, gardening, going to see movies, sitting
around a fire sharing stories, feeding birds – and above all else, spending time with family,
friends, and neighbors. Mike quietly sought ways to serve others, and touched many lives
through his contagious smile and helping hands.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Premier Funeral Services, 67 East 8000 South, Midvale, Utah with a viewing prior to services from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Interment will be 1:00 pm, Wednesday at the Orem City Cemetery.
