Michael F. Thrall
1941-2016
Our beloved father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and son, passed away with family by his side on March 24th, 2016. Michael was born May 16th 1941 to June and Melvin Thrall. He married Lovenna J. Cook in the Salt Lake LDS temple on March 4th 1960. They were blessed with six children, Janet Kohler, Debra, Mark (Paula), Shari, Jamie (Jeremy) Hale and Christopher Thrall. Michael had 18 grandchildren, 20 great- grandchildren and 2 great -great grandchildren. Michael was also blessed with four younger sisters, Susie Larsen,Judy (Mike) Draper,
Terry Fontaine, Denise (deceased) also a stepmother, Beverly whom he loved very much.
Michael worked as a draftsman for many years and helped on the project of building the stealth bomber and was employed by Boeing for many years.
Michael was also known for his sense of humor, always teasing and playing practical jokes on those around him. He loved to travel and took his family on many trips to Disneyland, the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Park. He also loved camping and fishing, especially in the high Uinta mountains, Christmas meadows was his favorite place. In his last few weeks of life, he was still talking of going fishing and looking forward to getting better. Michael also loved the summer months , boating, fishing and water-skiing especially at Lake Powell , his most favorite thing in life was to be outdoors with his family.
Michael was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He spent many years as a Sunday school teacher and also a dedicated home teacher. We will miss him so much, but we are comforted in the fact that he is with our mother Lovenna, and our Savior Jesus Christ and many others who have passed before him.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, April 1, 2016 at the LDS Chapel located at 15399 Heritage Crest Way, Bluffdale, Utah with a viewing at the church Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Friday prior to services from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Interment at the South Jordan City Cemetery, 10650 South 1055 West, South Jordan, UT.
