Michelle "Michy" Renae Eggett's Obituary
Michelle “Michy” Renae Eggett, 41, passed away on March 28th, 2026 in her family home in Saratoga Springs, Utah.
Born on March 12th, 1985, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Robert Gordon Eggett and Rosalie Giallongo Horricks. Michelle graduated from Canyon Heights High School and continued to learn a variety of skills and trades from enlisting in the army to serve her country, running a bakery, restaurant, EMT, volunteer firefighter, and medical dispatcher. She always had an above and beyond work ethic and made a home for all who wanted to talk, find comfort, or seek advice. Despite her passion to continue learning and for her country, nothing outdid her love for her 8 children, wife, and the life she wanted for them. Michelle married the love of her life on June 20, 2022 and spent 4 beautiful years together.
Michelle was known for her kindness, loyalty, dad jokes, love of reading, and generosity. She would give the shirt off her back to ensure others were taken care of and left with a giggle to a ridiculous joke. She was deeply passionate and confident in her workplace and was often highly regarded in her ability to not only provide help, safety, and security but guidance, training, and leadership. She always had a smile on her face and was keenly aware of those in need. The reach of her love and support was never ending and the loss of her on this earth will be deeply felt.
Michelle is survived by her wife of 4 years; Cailyn Eggett; her daughters; Ariana Simmons, Kaiya McCracken, and Karley McCracken, her sons; Cayson Simmons, Elijah Simmons, Jeremiah Simmons, and Silas McCracken. She is also survived by her loving mother, stepfather; Glenn Richard Horricks, 3 brothers; Chad Eggett (Tiffany), Justin Eggett (Jordan) Matt Eggett (Chantel), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of 5 children; Matthew Simmons, daughter Shakira Simmons, and father, Robert Eggett.
At this time, her family is tasked with difficult and significant changes but reminded of the immense love and support for them as they take on each new day. A celebration of life for friends and extended family will be scheduled at a later time when those changes become not so immediately demanding.
Cailyn’s wife and family are grateful for having had the opportunity to love each other and through deep loss we just remind those that are in need, in pain, or otherwise – to remember our minds can be a dark place but there is always love and a way to move forward.
