Millard Paul Canchola
Known as Paul to his close friends, passed away on October 19th 2023 at the age of 74 in Ogden, UT.
Millard was a veteran of the United States Army who’s first enlistment began in 1967 and his final tour of duty ended in 1984 with an Honorable Discharge at the rank of Staff Sergeant (E6). Of all the places he had been stationed, Germany was his favorite. He spoke so fondly of his time in Germany that when his eldest son Paul joined the Army, he made sure Germany was in his contract. Those closest to him enjoyed his singing and guitar playing talents. He also loved to paint. Another passion for him was the great outdoors. He loved camping, fishing and hiking and just being out in nature.
Millard is survived by 2 younger brothers, 5 children and 14 grandchildren. He leaves behind many friends and extended family members who will miss him. Millard Paul Canchola’s final resting place will be among fellow veterans in the Utah Veterans Memorial Cemetery and Park in Bluffdale Utah.
At the end of life’s journey when our remains are returned to the earth, may we remember that it is our good deeds that live on in the hearts of the lives we’ve touched.
