Monica Lynn Howell's Obituary
Monica Lynn Howell, 43, passed away on Friday, November 13th. She was born March 23, 1972. She was born in Salt Lake City and spent most of her life here, briefly living in Idaho, Alaska and California. She was preceded by her late husband, Todd Howell and her grandparents, Raymond and GeNeal Ray. She left behind her husband, Jaime Rodriguez, her five kids, Heather (Brandon), Lashawndra (Daniel), Austin, Lorena, and Miguel; two step daughters, Serena and Cecilia; six grandchildren, LillyAnna, Braedyn, Marcelina, ZariahLynn, Ashelynn and Hailey; her mother, Patricia Chambers; her sister, Natalie Facer; two nephews, Bobby and Michael; and one niece, Alyssa. Among many other family members and friends. Monica had a love for animals, her husband would often come home to discover they had adopted another pet while he was at work. She loved to read and enjoyed watching movies. She had a love for music as well, any genre. She loved spending her summer outside barbecuing with her family and friends and swimming with her grandchildren. She had a nurturing soul. She was always happy to extend a helping hand where she could or comfort somebody having a bad day, She lived for her family. Especially her kids and grandkids. She was always happiest when she was surrounded by her family. Especially when she could get all of her favorite people in one place at one time. Those who knew her will always remember her beautiful smile and her infectious laugh. She had a big heart and an even bigger voice. She was not afraid to state her opinion. Especially when she thought her opinion would be beneficial. Above all, she loved life and gave life. She will be missed immensely. A viewing will be held Friday, November 20th at 9:30 am, followed by a funeral at 11:00 am at the LDS Elk Run church on 3610 s 8400 w. There will be a burial following the funeral at West Jordan Cemetery.
