Monica Hatch Parra's Obituary
Monica Richardson Hatch Parra, 61, passed away at her home in Sandy Utah, on April 7th, 2026, following an eight-year battle with cancer and a life of love, laughter, adventure, and success.
Monica was born on July 18, 1964 in Logan, Utah, the first child and only daughter of Merlin Grant Richardson and Peg Sorensen Richardson Jones.
Monica moved to Ogden and attended Weber State and went to work for Hilton Hotel Corporation, ending there as manager of Annabelle’s.
Monica’s next move would define her life. She accepted a position as a Leasing Agent at Suncrest Apartments in Layton and found that Property Asset Management was perfect for her. It would ultimately take her to a
Regional Manager position and the implementation of capital improvements on two high-rise buildings in Denver, Colorado, along the way. She loved every minute of her work.
Monica is survived by the love of her life, her husband Gustavo Jason Parra, her son, Conrad Michael Hatch, her brothers, M. Kelly Richardson and Brandon J. Richardson, her mother, her Earthly Angel, Jerilyn Jensen, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father.
