It was purely by accident that I came across this tribute. For a brief period of time in 1989 I lived with Monty and Esther. They were both very kind and I remember Monty as a warm and gentle man. Holding peaceful thoughts for the family.

My thoughts are prayers are with you at this difficult time. When I lost each of my parents, it was hard to be left behind as they took the next step in their eternal progression. It was also comforting to know I will see them again.

We send our love, sympathy and prayers to you from our mission in Santiago, Chile. We remember Monty as our good and faithful neighbor. He was always out walking with you. I have a picture in my mind of both of you on a week day all dressed up in your Sunday best. You were walking to go and do your home teaching together!
My dad loved to hunt and fish -- just like Monty did. On his funeral program, we included the Fisherman's Prayer.

Monty was our home teacher for many years. He loved our son David and did so much to help him prepare for his mission. When I had my back surgery he built a ramp for me to get my wheelchair in the house. We love you so much dear friend.
