Myrtle Theresa Snead's Obituary
Myrtle Theresa Snead of Roy Utah passed away peacefully on March 21, 2022, she was 89 years old.
Mom was born on April 20, 1932, in Tucson AZ to Doris and Joseph Allen. Her family moved to San Diego where her father passed away when she was only 6 years old, she is the 5th of 9 children.
Mom married Robert W. Snead and had two daughters. Moms mission in life was to be a mother and she was a wonderful loving mother who ensured we were raised with God in our lives.
She enjoyed going to church, being a mom and being a friend to many including her caregivers. She loved being included in the many family gatherings especially Birthdays, Christmas, and Easter. She enjoyed being around her grandson and his wife, her great granddaughters and watching them grow up, she is so proud of them. She was an avid golf fan especially watching Tiger Woods play. She could be caught watching baseball whenever the Padres played. She loved keeping in contact with her friends from San Diego and family from all over the United States. She loved the cats and had a great doll collection. She prided herself of her great memory and she was a wealth of knowledge because she could remember anything about the past if asked. She never failed to send a birthday, Easter or Christmas card to everyone she knew.
Even with her disabilities, she never let them stop her, she learned to drive at 43 and traveled as much as possible. She was a trooper.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Dan), Grandson, Michael (Allie) and two great granddaughters, Eva, and Zoey. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert , her daughter Susan, her parents, nieces and nephews and siblings.
We want to thank the Nurses and caregivers from Simbii Home and Hospice and Home Helpers and the many caregivers over the years.
There will be a graveside service in the Catholic Garden of the Blessed Mary, at
Leavitt’s Cemetery located 836 36th St. in Ogden Utah on April 16, 2022 at 11:30 am.
