Nancy C Deemer's Obituary
Jennifer and Derek's mother, beloved grandmother to Haylee, very special mother in law to Ray, loving sister to Paul and Cheryl, loving daughter to Carol and adopted mom/grandma to many, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on May 30, 2013 with her son and daughter at her side.
Our mom couldn't have asked for a better send off, the room was filled with laughter, stories, tears and some very special people who joined us. Stacie and Ronda thank you for coming to see her one last time, I know in my heart she knew you were there. Jazz, Ashley, Amanda, and Pauline thank you for helping us send our mom off in a way few people will ever experience!
Nancy was born and raised in California and shared with us timeless family stories. She very fondly remembered all the times she spent with her cousins, especially her cousin April. We did not grow up with a lot but what we had Mom would make sure if our friends came over and were hungry that they left with a full belly, that's just how she was.
Nancy moved with her daughter and son in law to Utah in 1993 and that is where she resided until her passing. In 2003 when her granddaughter Haylee was born she was provided an opportunity to stay home and no longer work to help in caring for her while Ray and Jen worked. This helped create a strong and unique bond between grandmother and granddaughter that most people could only dream of having, I know that it is a bond that could never be broken even in death.
Our mom was never a pretentious person, never wanted to call attention to herself, so we ask that when you are having a drink, playing pool, having your morning coffee and smoke, or even enjoying time with your family that you think of her and offer her a quick hello - never a goodbye...My friend shared this quote with me and I will share with you - "Death is not the end, it's only putting out the candle because the dawn has arrived"
