Nancy Hanson's Obituary
Nancy Marie Wabel Kirkpatrick Hanson , age 46, returned to her Heavenly Father's arms on February 29, 2012 after a long battle with multiple illnesses. Nancy was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on August 29, 1965 to Naoma Kern and David M Wabel. She married Kevin Kirkpatrick in 1985, together they raised four children; Krystal, Kacie, Kylee, and Kody. In 2005, Nancy found the love of her life Richard Barry Hanson; they married July 16, 2011 in Elsinore, Utah. Two of Nancy's greatest accomplishments were being a good mother and influencing the lives of others. She spent much of her life advocating for other people with disabilities. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, camping, and helping others. She is survived by her husband Rick Hanson; mother Naoma Kern; father David (Elaine) Wabel; children Krystal, Kacie (Travis), Kylee (MJ), and Kody; step-children, Kirsten and Jenna Hanson; grandchild Braden; brother and his children, David, Margarette and Sherees. A memorial service will be held Monday, March 5, 2012 at the LDS Stake Center; 1750 E Spring Lane, Holladay, Utah. The viewing will begin at 11:45 AM. Funeral services will directly follow at 1:00 PM. The family would like to offer a special thanks to all the health care professionals who cared for Nancy throughout the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nancy Kirkpatrick Hanson Memorial account at America First Credit Union.
