Nancy Anne Ware Lambert's Obituary
Nancy Anne Ware Lambert, 79, of West Jordan Utah passed away surrounded by
her loving family on February 18th, 2023.
I was born June 25th, 1943 to Calvin Willardson and Lorene Hamel Ware in Richfield, Utah and moved to Salt Lake City as a newborn. I spent the remainder of my youth and school years in Murray. I will always be a Jordan High ‘Beetdigger’, but I graduated from Olympus High School in May of 1961.
In April of 1963, I met Howard John Lambert on a “double date”. We became engaged in July and were married December 13, 1963 in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Howard and I are the parents of five children. John, Sally Anne, Howard Allan, Shauna, and Amy.
We are Grandma and Grandpa “Red” (because we lived in a red house) to 10 grandchildren; Nathan, Mandi, Garrett, Trevor, Keith, Tina, Riley, Morgan, Carson, and Cassidy. Along with 10 great-grandchildren; Paisleigh, Canyon, Ruger, Benjiman, Hudson, Aiden, Brody, Chase, Kaydence, and Ember.
I was always giving of my time. I volunteered at LDS Hospital for 35 years. I became Volunteer President in 1999. I loved crocheting and donated hundreds of blankets, scarfs, and hats for family and those in need. I will be fondly remembered for playing card games, hosting Christmas Eve dinners and cookie parties, my quick-wit, and my excellent cooking talents; even in my last days I wanted to feed my visiting family and friends.
I am an avid University of Utah fan and my license plate was even UTE GAL. I love my Utah Utes, Howard and I had football season tickets for several years. I would bring my famous caramel popcorn and hot apple cider.
I am preceded in death by my parents Calvin and Lorene Ware and my granddaughter Mandi Wood.
I am survived by my husband Howard, and my sons John Lambert, Allan Lambert (Chantae), and my daughters Sally Wood, Shauna Ireland (Shawn), and Amy Callaway.
My last days were made more comfortable by my nurse Amber and the hospice staff.
A graveside service will be held for her close family and friends on Thursday, February 23rd at Camp Williams Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Viewing at 9:30, burial to follow. There will be a viewing one hour prior to the burial to pay respects.
