Although we were only gave book friends, Nancy graduated from Dominguez hi, and went to the same ward in Compton as I did. We went to a funeral together, and I visited her in the hospital numerous times. She lot up Facebook with her amazing photo shopped pictures, and kind words. She will forever be a part of my heart and mind.

I met Nancy first in the hallway at church in California. She was there for her grand-nephew’s baby blessing. She was all smiles and happy to be introduced to me by her sister Jeanne. Through the chapel window they both pointed out their sons to me. It was her youngest, Nathan, that ended up asking me to date and then marry him. Nancy was always sweet, loving, and supportive. The best kind of mother-in-law a girl could ask for. Made me apart of her family from that first moment and never let go. She would tell me how she had dreamed of the dark haired girl that would end up with her son and how happy she was for it to be me. She loved our 4 children and made them each feel treasured by their Grammy. We know she is one of our guardian angels now and will continue to love and remember her all our days. Family is eternal. Nancy was always trying to have me go to singles outings after my divorce. Fortunately I was working every Weekend, however in 1995 I had an injury which put me out of work for 3 months and Nancy lept at the chance. She showed up one Saturday night when she knew that my kids were with their mother and said we are going to a dance. She had borrowed a wheel chair because my leg was in a cast, she said it would attract more ladies and off we went. She had great fun setting me up with dance partners. That is what friends are for.
