Nancy May Wilson's Obituary
On June 11th, our wife, mom, and Amma ran into the arms of Jesus. Nancy May “Ann” Wilson, 78, of Layton, UT was surrounded by her family as she crossed the finish line of a race well run. Nancy was born and raised in New Jersey later moving to Vermont, Maine, and then finally Utah. She was a Registered Nurse until she was able to be a full-time mom and business partner. After an accident left her a paraplegic in 1993, she made the statement that she would choose to get Better not Bitter. She encouraged tens of thousands of others to live their lives in the same manner as she spoke those words in large arenas, in small groups, and in one-on-one conversations. She created a legacy for generations of love, kindness, and grace.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Elizabeth Doran, and her in-laws, Edward & Ruth Wilson.
She is survived by many loving individuals including her husband, Don Wilson, daughters Suz Dawson and husband Dennis Dawson, Jenn Wilson, son John Wilson and wife Cassie Wilson, grandchildren Ryan Wilson, Emily Jessop, John Dawson, Sarah Stokes and husband Jaece Stokes, Adam Krotts, Nevaeh Wilson, Brooklynne Wilson, McKenzie Wilson, sister-in-law Janet Pelley and husband Bill, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and so many who called her “Mom”.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, June 25 at 2:00 PM (MT) at Christian Life Center, 2352 E. Hwy 193, Layton, UT. The service will be live-streamed at https://clclayton.org/live/
In lieu of flowers, Nancy’s wishes are for donations to go to Layton Christian Academy or the Dave Roever Foundation.
