Naomi Leany Aagard's Obituary
On Saturday February 10 , 2024, despite every effort to save her, Naomi Leany Aagard, adored daughter, sister, and mother passed away from complications of her chronic illnesses at age 44.
Naomi was born on August 27, 1979 to Raquel Marie Bryce and Ted Sturm. She grew up in a large family, with 13 siblings and many step siblings, and was a bundle of lighthearted love and energy. She spent her teen years as a social butterfly, dancing, singing, waitressing, throwing parties and cooking up creative concoctions. She attended George Wythe University in Cedar City for a short time and then got married and focused on her life’s passion of raising a family and being a homemaker.
She was married to Joseph Aagard from 1999 to 2022, and together they had 5 incredible children: Josephine 23, Kimberley 22, Thomas 20, Korbin 17, and Katherine 8. Her kids were her reason for living. She was a phenomenal Mom and would have done anything for them.
Throughout her life, as her chronic illnesses progressed and she was unfortunately unable to do many of the active things that she loved, she turned her creative energy to developing recipes, designing house plans, and studying personality types and organization techniques and skills.
She was deeply religious and followed the Bible’s guidance as well as humanly possible, being kind, compassionate, forgiving, loving, and almost unbelievably selfless. Her cooking was arguably the greatest ever! She was able to create her own allergen free recipes from scratch to replicate other dishes she had tasted. And she was never satisfied until they came out tasting and looking restaurant ready. Naomi put her heart and soul into her recipes and everyone who tasted them could tell.
Naomi was known for her quick wit, analytical mind, infectious smile, beautiful laugh, and her warm and outgoing spirit. She will be deeply missed by all that knew her, and leaves behind a gaping hole in so many lives that can never be filled.
Naomi was preceded in death by her brother Qwentin, and is survived by her children, parents, all other siblings and many extended family members.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 19, 1:30 PM at the Grace Bible Church 239 South Main St, Springville, UT.
