Naomi Foote's Obituary
Naomi Yates Burrows Foote, on the third of July
Peacefully slipped to the Other Side
Surrounded by family she dearly loved
Excited to reunite with those waiting Above
She was born on July 13, 1938
To Jesse K. Burrows and Lydia Yates
One of 9 siblings, 7 sisters, 1 brother
The Burrows family loved one another
At Granite High School, Naomi loved
Student government, orchestra, dances, pep club
And there met an athlete named Darrell Barney
With whom she created a beautiful family
As mom to Mindy, Julie, Lynne, Ken, and Pat
She taught them to have fun, work hard, and that
True joy comes from serving God and faith
In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
She loved river running, biking, hiking, cliff diving
Traveling the world, camping, even skydiving (at 80!)
Na was an adventurer, one of a kind
Along with Lynn Foote, her eternal partner in crime
Together they created their own "Garden of Eden"
From which pretty much the whole world has eaten.
Grandma's raspberry patch is known far and wide
For berries and treasures of wisdom there hide
Her legacy lives on in each one of us,
5 kids, 22 grandkids, and great-grandkids 27 plus
And in her quilts made with such tender care
And her love of Christ which she did often share
To all she met, Naomi showed much love
And now she is sending her love from above
