Natalie Anne Davis Crockett's Obituary
In Memory of Natalie Anne Davis Crockett, Beloved Daughter of the West
In the peaceful stillness of an early morning, our beloved Natalie Anne Davis Crockett, known to those who loved her as Naddy, passed from this mortal realm into the Undying Lands beyond the horizon. At the age of 45, she departed this world, embraced by the love of her family, as the stars kindled their first light above her Salt Lake City home. Born on April 14th in the year of 1979, in the land of Utah, to Mike R. Davis and Kathie Ekins, Naddy’s spirit shone like a beacon, warming the hearts of all who crossed her path.
In her, there dwelled the gentle grace of Lothlórien, a kindness that could calm the most restless hearts, and a compassion that bloomed like the fairest of flowers in the gardens of Arda. Naddy walked among us as a healer of souls, her heart ever open, her presence ever a comfort. A devoted mother, daughter, sister, and friend, she had the gift of friendship, making all feel seen, cherished, and accepted in her company, much like the fellowship of the free peoples, who found strength in one another through the darkest of times.
Her love for the simple and wondrous things of this world was akin to the hobbits of the Shire, who found joy in music, family, and the beauty of nature. With guitar and bass in hand, she strummed melodies that lingered in the hearts of those who heard them. Her hands, too, painted the world with colors and life, and in the company of horses, she found a deep connection to the earth, as if they were Mearas, noblest of steeds. And yet, above all, Naddy’s heart belonged to her sons, Canyon and Aiden, her greatest pride and joy, her legacy of love.
She is survived by her life’s companion, Eric Johnson, who walked beside her through many chapters of this journey, and by her two dear sons, Canyon Haze Crockett and Aiden Jase Crockett, who carry her spirit forward. Her parents, Mike & Linda and Kathie, and her sisters, Jodee, Toni, Stephanie, Laura, Melanie, and McKenzie, along with her favorite brother Brian, and her many kin, stand as living testament to her bright and loving soul.
Though she has passed beyond the circles of this world, into the far-off realms where no shadow lies, Naddy's memory will remain with us, like the light of Eärendil’s star, guiding us when all other lights go out.
Special thanks are given to Premier Funeral Services, Huntsman at Home, and all those who lent their hands and hearts in ensuring that Naddy's passage from this world was filled with the love and care she gave so freely in life.
