Nathan Marion Davidson's Obituary
Nathan Marion Davidson
Nathan Marion Davidson, 46, born in Mesa, Arizona January 22, 1970, passed away November 3, 2016. He was the 7th child of Marion N. and Joan Hardisty Davidson.
Heavenly Father has called home another one of His valiant and special sons. Nathan had a couple of seizures recently. After this last seizure, as soon as he opened his eyes, he smiled and said “Papa! Papa!” His Mother asked him if he could see Papa? He just smiled. She knew at that moment that Dad had come to get their son and take him Home. Ever since his Dad died, Nathan would say, with a Big Smile, that Dad went to “Fly”.
Nathan had a special gift of Love. He LOVED everyone – family included, especially his nieces and nephews. He was their biggest fan and friend. He also loved his neighbors and friends, and would visit them with regularity, just to be with them. His mom said on his last night, “He will be missed, he will be missed, and he will be missed.”
Nathan was a lifelong fan of the Chicago Cubs. He passed away about an hour after they won the World Series. He loved saying, shaking his fists up in the air, “Cubs Win!” He was their Angel in the Outfield.
Nathan graduated from Westwood High School in Mesa, Arizona in 1991. He loved being a Warrior! He attended the football games for 20 years and sat near the band with his drum sticks. He gleefully cheered and beamed happy smiles when they won. He loved to walk and visit friends and places all over Mesa. He loved to dance and perform at his nieces and nephews weddings. He loved to watch their sporting events and performing arts and cheer them on to victory.
He spent the last year of his life at Topham’s Care Center where he won their hearts with his loving nature and his tendency to dance up and down the halls.
Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Marion N. Davidson Jr. and sister, Kairlee Davidson Graham. His is survived by his mother, Joan Hardisty Davidson, and siblings and their spouses: Michael and Nancy Graham, DeLane and Joann Davidson, Jennifer and Kendall Jefferson, Aaron and Becky Davidson, Jeanette Fitzgerald, Kjell and Marni Larson, and Amy and Matthew Heaton. He is also survived and dearly loved by 39 nieces and nephews and 29 great nieces and nephews.
The funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, November 12, 2016 at the LDS Centennial Ward building, 422 E. University Dr. Mesa, Arizona 85203.
