I am a cousin to the McCleery family, if anyone of his siblings or children would talk to me, I have questions. [email protected]

Wendy and family,
I want you to know what an amazing teacher Nathan was! My daughter was in his classes at Mount Jordan Middle School and loved his classes. He challenged the kids to think and learn and dive into the Spanish language. Not everyone liked to be pushed, but those who accepted the challenge grew a lot. I think Mr. McCleery was uniquely qualified to teach in the dual immersion program with his extensive knowledge of not only Spanish but also Humanities. My daughter loved learning about art and architecture in Spanish and sharing that in her cultural projects. He did so much for not just Canyons District but also the State dual immersion program! I was so sad to see him go as he should have been able to stay. Even some of the people that complained later wished he were still there. While I know our loss pales in comparison to yours, please know that he was and will be missed by many. I wish you all peace and comfort as you deal with your grief at this time.
Sincerely,
Pam Drennan Brooks
Love you uncle Nate. These are pictures when leaving to go on his mission
Nathan,
I hope you know the influence and impact you had on me. You really truly shaped much of my hobbies, especially hiking, camping and backpacking. I will never, ever, forget the backpacking trips we made to the Uintas. Those are among the greatest memories I have from my later teenage years. Rolling the boulders down the hill, fishing, hiking, camping, laughing, backpacking in the Uintas; these are amazing memories for me. And the trip to Escalante was one to remember too. I have gone back there several times. I have often shared stories about our trips with others. You sent me a tape that helped train me as a missionary. I always loved your attitude of 'no problem is too big to tackle'. Your sphere of friendship excluded no one. You were such a great friend to me during these years and I do indeed love you for being such a good friend.
