Nelda Christensen's Obituary
With deep grief, we report that Nelda Christensen, 77, passed away in a nursing home of pneumonia with complications due to hip replacement surgery on Thursday, August 30, 2018. Nelda was born on June 22, 1941 in Brigham City, Utah, the daughter of Glen E. and Alice R. Christensen. She was raised in Roy, Utah and graduated from Davis High School.
Nelda married Lewis Nick Christensen in Ogden, Utah on August 6, 1962. They were later divorced.
Nelda worked for the lunch counter at Greyhound bus depot, and Internal Revenue Service in Ogden, Utah.
Nelda is survived by her son Roland of SLC, UT; her daughter Teresa Haney of Roy, UT; brothers, Wayne Christensen of Olympia, WA; Lynn Christensen of Clearfield, UT; Jerry Christensen of Clearfield, UT; Dale Christensen of Olympia, WA; Rick Christensen of Washington Terrace, UT; and 3 grandchildren Lisa, Latonia, and Angelo.
Nelda is preceded in death by her daughter Brenda, her parents, Glen and Alice, and one brother Leroy.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, September 7th, 6 – 8 p.m. at Premier Funeral Services, 5335 So 1950 W. Roy, Utah.
