Neldon F Jensen's Obituary
Beloved Husband, Father, Brother and Friend passed away August 24th. Dad was a kind, generous, caring, funny, and giving man that never met a stranger. He spent his life serving others in so many ways.. through his time serving the country in the Navy and Naval Reserve, to years coaching little league baseball and football, and his time serving in the Provo and Payson Temples.
He loved anything outdoors and was a Mountain Man Enthusiast including attending rendezvous all over the west coast and Canada, sleeping in teepees that he made himself.
His family was his pride and joy, and he was our pride and joy. No one gave hugs like him- when he hugged you everything in the world was right again.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 63 years Diane Roper Jensen, and 5 kids: Charlotte Swain (Mike), Jeff Jensen (Lisa), Steve Jensen (Melinda), Craig Jensen (Lisa) and Julie Jensen-Soffe (Scott). 21 grandkids, 24 great grandkids, and all the nieces and nephews that he was so important to, “Unkie Jense” will be missed.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday August 30th in Salem City Cemetery at 2:00 pm followed by a celebration of life at the Salem City Community Center.
