Noelle Pearson's Obituary
Noelle Pearson, age 61, (December 11, 1964 – May 29, 2026) of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away after a long struggle with kidney failure surrounded by the love of her family. Noelle is survived by her loving and devoted mother Shanna Pearson, her five siblings: Michelle White, Kelly Fletcher (Steve), Rikard Pearson, Melissa Rideout (Tim), Graydon Pearson (Jennifer Tasker), along with her beloved nieces and nephews, and many extended family members and friends.
She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend, whose greatest joy was staying connected with the people she loved. Noelle had a special gift for making those she loved feel close to her and important in her life, often through nicknames and personal anecdotes. She spent many years going to work at the crack of dawn with her father, Rikard, at many different hotel properties, where she organized and prepared the breakfast bar. She took great pride in her process, and followed it methodically every morning for the guests.
Her greatest pastime, however, was calling family members each day, delighting in connecting with everyone. These calls often included an offer of help from her and ideas she had for their day.
Noelle dearly loved her nieces and nephews, and took great joy in following their lives, accomplishments, and milestones. She especially loved babies and children, and her caring heart brought happiness to those she interacted with.
Always up for an outing to get a frozen mocha, or a Diet Coke, it was not unusual to find her playing her favorite music from Burl Ives, or Donny Osmond, or Elvis Presley, knowing all the words. Her incredible memory was a trademark, sharing random facts about people, events, or places from the past with those around her. She could recall the names of family friends’ children, her favorite basketball players, their numbers, where they were traded to, along with the real names of actors from past TV series. Whether it was The Addams Family, Gunsmoke, Gomer Pyle, or The Flintstones, she knew the actors' names, never missing a beat when asked.
Though Noelle met challenges throughout her life, she embraced them with a positive outlook and a loving spirit, always focused on other people and their lives. Her warmth, loyalty, and deep affection for her family left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She taught those close to her how to love unconditionally and without guile, along with how to assume the best in one another.
In the past few years, Noelle achieved something that brought great joy to her family. She was able to live independently in her own apartment and truly thrive—something her family never imagined would be possible. She embraced this chapter of her life with great pride and determination, finding happiness in living independently, showing everyone who loved her just how capable she was!
Her family finds comfort in the many memories they shared with her, and in knowing that her love will remain a part of their lives forever. Although she will be missed immensely, knowing that she is united with her father, Rikard Pearson, and her grandparents, brings great relief and joy.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 4–7 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency: 170 South West Temple Street, Salt Lake City, Utah.
