I was Grateful to have Dad live with me in Surprise, AZ... he loved the pool! I would bring home 5 gallon buckets filled with pecans and we had a production line, bowls, nut crackers, jars, etc! He would come to work with me Just to pick pecans!
Then, we moved to Snowflake AZ and l would take him for drives and he would often say... I love being the Passenger! He loved the Clouds against the Blue Skiies And he would have me Take a picture!
We saw a sign on the highway that said alpacas and we drove until we found the farm and he absolutely fell in love with these beautiful creatures. We bought five and he would go out and walk around with them, singing them songs. We had one mama alpaca give birth but then she abandoned her baby. I had to bottlefeed that baby for six months and it was just like having a baby! Feedings were every two hours and then gradually to every four hours. Norm would always go out for the 9 o’clock and the 11 o’clock feeding and hold the flashlight for me while I fed this little baby. He would tell me to wake him up at 1 in the morning and again at 3 but I always let him sleep.
