Oleatha Shayne Bell's Obituary
Oleatha Shayne Bell passed away in the early morning hours on April 21, 2025. Shayne, as she was known, was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 15, 1949 to Clyde Charles Minks Sr. and Eleanor Lillie Barger.
On November 5, 1965, Shayne married the love of her life, Franklin Bell Jr., who she remained married to until her passing. They shared sixty years of memories by each other’s side. Together, they moved to Utah and raised three children. Two daughters; Lynette and Tina, and one son; Franklin Bell lll.
For many years, Shayne used her loving and giving spirit to care for patients as a CNA. She made many friends at work and at the diner she frequented the morning after finishing her night shift.
Among all the people who loved Shayne were her many grandkids. Grandkids were everything to Shayne. Despite having numerous grandchildren and eventually great grandchildren, she never missed a birthday. She not only remembered each birthday but also how old each grandkid would be turning. She was quick to show pictures and share stories of her loved ones to anyone and everyone.
Shayne was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves behind many cherished memories for her loved ones to hold on to. She will be missed and remembered often. She is survived by her husband Franklin Bell Jr., her son Franklin Bell lll, daughter-in-law, Deborah Bell, and her brother and sister, Clyde and Charlotte. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
