In Memory of Olga Sotelo Escobedo September 6, 1963 – April 1, 2024 Rest in Peace Olga Sotelo Escobedo 61, of Ogden, Utah, passed away on April 1, 2024 after a long battle with multiple serious health conditions. She was born to Patricio Benancio and Mary Julia Sotelo on September 6, 1963 in Lubbock, Texas. Her parents moved the family to Ogden, Utah in 1968. Olga is survived by her husband Thomas Escobedo, her daughters Alisha Lucero, Cynthia and Sylvia Escobedo, her sons Anthony Lucero, Tomas Escobedo, Ricardo Escobedo, and Israel Escobedo; her grandsons Marcelino Escobedo Lucero and Marcello Escobedo Lucero; her sisters Cynthia Delgado and Sylvia (Michael) Delgado and Christina Escobedo, and Angel Escobedo. She is preceded in death by her beloved father; Patricio Benancio Sotelo, beloved mother Mary Julia Sotelo, and her loved brothers. Patricio Sotelo Jr, Michael Sotelo Marquez, Ismael Sotelo Sr, Henry Sotelo Sr. Joe Sotelo; nephew Michael A Delgado Jr; brother-in-law Freddie Delgado; and another nephew Angelo Gallagos Sotelo. She was raised in Ogden, Utah and attended school in the Ogden School District. She graduated from Applied Technology Center. “God heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his children. God says Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” An informal, open memorial gathering to pay respect and say farewell to Olga will be held with family and friends at Premier Funeral Home located at 5335 S 1950 W Roy, UT 84067. Olga will be buried on the east side of the Ogden City Cemetery along with his father, mother and brothers at a later date.
