Orvel Wallace “Wally”Henrikson Jr.
1933 - 2018
Orvel Wallace Henrikson, Jr aka “Wally”, 84, of Provo, UT passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughters at his bedside on April 7, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elsie and OW Henrikson, Sr. and sisters Betty and Norma.
He is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn and daughters Terri, Jaimee, Tami and Julie. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren, and brother Ron.
Wally was an active member of the LDS church and searched for knowledge everywhere he went. A man of charisma, character, integrity and honesty. Wally earned a degree in Computer Science from Devry Institute at the age of 53, a man ahead of his time in technology. He used these talents to pioneer family history work and teach others to use the computer in his older years. In this life, he enjoyed woodworking, camping, James Bond and Star Trek movies, laughing with his girls and reading.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Lakeside 10th Ward, 2225 West 620 North, Provo, Utah with a viewing prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Interment with military honors will be 2:30 pm the same day at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah.
