Orvilla Virgie Bailey's Obituary
Eagle Mountain, Utah – Orvilla V Bailey, our beloved mother and grandmother, died Monday, January 13, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law in Eagle Mountain.
She was born in American Falls, Idaho on July 2, 1926 to Orville B and Virgie M Stanger. She moved around a lot as a little girl before her parents moved to California.
Orvilla loved dancing and taught dance during her high school years. She was also active in choral and drama. She graduated from Richmond High School in 1944.
Orvilla attended BYU in the fall of 1944. During her time there, She met her eternal companion, Maynard C Bailey. They were married and sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on April 10, 1946.
Orvilla was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. When Maynard decided to go back to school, she worked full time and took care of two boys to support her husband in his decision. She made many sacrifices of time to support and help her posterity.
Orvilla is survived by two sons, Jeff and Brian, two daughters in law, Jenny and Cindy, 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on January 18th, 2020 at The Sparrowhawk Building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7746 Sparrow Hawk Way, Eagle Mountain, Utah. A viewing was held from 10:30 to 11:00, with the services following. Internment was at the Ben Lomond North Ogden Cemetery.
