Oscar Derell Parker's Obituary
Oscar Derell Parker – 77 years old was born Sept 5th 1937 in Lanark Idaho to Joseph Watkins Parker and Susie Fontella Orr. He passed away peacefully at his granddaughters (Finnette (Justin) Cook) home on September 6th 2014.
He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers – Alvin (Wynetta) Parker, Lavelle (Shirley) Parker, and Gordon (Jean) Parker. Three Sisters - Zola (Glenn) Christensen, Lona (Freeman) Covert, Glenna (Dave) Boehme. – A daughter Jacqueline (Dennis) Roberts, and two sons’ – Michael Parker and Daniel Parker, one grandson and three great grandchildren.
He is survived by his sisters - Loy (Neil) Christensen and Opal (Glen) Nelson. His daughters - Kodie Parker, Shelly Wright, Leeann (Clint) Kaae, Denise (Russ) Brenick. His sons – Jeff (Lisa) Parker, David (Sarah) Parker. Twenty grandchildren and forty four great grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
He had a huge heart and loved his family and friends very much. We all knew him as dad, grandpa, grampy or grumpy, gramps, Shane, Derell, Oscar, Uncle (“D”). He answered to all of his names with a huge smile and was happy to visit with you. He always had a keen sense of humor. He was very quick witted and loved to tease everyone and put a smile on everyone’s face. We will miss him so very much.
There will be a graveside service at the Millville Cemetery in Millville, Utah at 11 A.M. on Friday September 12th and a family luncheon at the Mendon Stake Center 460 South 100 East Mendon, Utah at 1 P.M.
