My heart is broken. I hadn’t talked to Pat (I lovingly called her poopsie) for several years. I developed a close bond with her when I worked at Sears Service Center. So close in fact, that I asked her and Russ to be my sons Godparent’s. They stood up for him when he was baptized at St. Vincent’s Catholic Church in July of 1994. I moved on from Sears but tried to remain in contact. I would send Christmas cards each year but I think due to age and time I never heard anything. I found out through a mutual friend that Russ had passed and I felt so sad. I was thinking about my dear friend today and something prompted me to Google her name which took me to her obituary. God Bless you Pat, you were a friend when I was very young and in a difficult time in my life but you never judged. Thanks to you and Russ for standing up for my son who has served in Afghanistan and who is a police officer for West Valley City. He has grown up to be a fine, young man. God Bless your family who I am sure, mourn your passing every day❤️🙏❤️
